Snow Globe
for Christmas. Trying to get some cards made... I often think I need at least four more hours every day, however it would be a toss up whether I would use that time for good or evil to do something productive or just sleep!

Art New Faux
So, apparently I don't have enough Etsy shops...
Yah.
I have decided to try another shop with kind of a retro modern style all it's own. Art New Faux. Here's a sample of some of the things I have there, including some Christmas stuff. Yay Christmas! I haven't done holiday themed stuff yet (I know, I know) so I thought I'd give it a whirl.
And my personal favorite:

It's Thursday!
Okay, I'm just trying to sound excited about it, but really, I have three more days until I get to my weekend.
sigh
So how was everyone's Halloween? I hope this finds you well, and out of harm's way. That storm back east was scary enough! I've heard it referred to as "Frankenstorm". Ugh. Well, I hope you all got a bit of a reprieve and maybe some fun last night.
We love watching the little ones going door to door. Some of the big ones are funny, too. We deck the house out big time. Secret Agent Man loves holidays and he does 'em up right. We even had a big spooky tree in the front yard this time. Fun fun!
I sort of dressed up - if by dress up you include wearing a hat that looks like a cat and my funky cat-eye glasses.
Secret Agent Man dressed up like a secret agent man. On vacation.
It was fun.
Part of the fun was making sure kittens didn't run for the door. They are quite fascinated with any and all doors. They are constantly making a break for it. We have to keep certain doors shut all the time so they don't get into trouble. Like the storage room. Where they can knock boxes over. Or get up in the ceiling because we have a hole cut for air so the pipes don't freeze.
Yah.
Maggie got up there the other day.
She's a little pickle.
We have come to the conclusion that the kittens probably think their names are "Maggie Careful" and "Starla Don't Eat That".
Maggie, careful...
Starla, don't eat that...
Maggie! Careful!
Starla! Don't eat that!
sigh

I'm still here!
No, really. Just had lots going on and not bloggin' as much as I'd like. Still trying to get some art shows lined up, but this town is tuff!
Anyway, here's some new cute little guys I'm playing around with, that are now listed on Etsy.

After the Ball
A little Steampunk. A little Zombie.
Doesn't get much better than that!
Inspired by and for Muse and the Mode and their upcoming Black and Red Gothmas ball.

Second Space
So the RAW gallery showing turned out to be a minor disaster, unfortunately. Long story short: it pretty much turned out to be a rave with art displays. Yuk.
However, I did get a couple good connections from it. I am supposed to be getting an interview soon from the lovely ladies at Muse and the Mode magazine. They were a lot of fun to talk to at the show and probably the most enjoyable contact I had all night.
I was also contacted prior to the show by the gentlemen who run the Second Space Gallery downtown. It's a small but lovely gallery that doubles as a church. Very modern and clean (a far cry from the Vault where RAW was held...). I met with them last week and they are going to hang five large limited edition prints in their next show!
While I have not yet heard back on which pieces they want, I suspect it will be art from my sketchbook projects. They really liked the little girl with the dirigible, and I took several other existing pieces and altered them to go along with her. I'm sure you will find them all familiar.
So if you're around the area, I think the show will start early August and run for two or three months. I'm excited!
Hope this is finding all of you well and enjoying your summer!
