First, though, I want to thank everyone who participated. Some of the ideas you put forth were really fun. You all are a pretty creative bunch!
Based on the over all theme of my Sketchbook, the constraints of the page sizes, and what I know of my own drawing skills, I have chosen:
-
Either an super eel monorail, or an octopus hot air balloon ('cause how on earth can I resist that?)
- and
-
I could picture a sad little girl holding a dirigible tied to a string. she is sad because she wanted a shiny red balloon and not a drab, gray dirigible. (Because I think that is just funny, in a weird sort of way, and it reminds me of "The Red Balloon" - which I loved, yet found creepy, as a kid.)
So, you two, send me your mailing addresses, and once I get the images done, I will send you both signed, numbered copies! Yea!
Congrats to the winners! Awesome ideas.
ReplyDeleteexcellent ideas both! can't wait to see them here :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to them, their ideas rock and would work well with your style :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd another great new banner??!! I missed that earlier..Its fab!
ReplyDeleteLOVE those ideas! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI won!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I will see Ellie at lunch today. She'll be so excited!
ReplyDeleteBrowsed your sketchbook on art house coop (I am also a participant). No wonder you hit a wall, from the work you have done so far you must be exhausted. It is obvious how much thought and effort you have put into the project and your work shows it. I greatly admire how your imagination has so perfectly dealt with the sketchbook theme. The bed teathered to the hot air ballon was so good it's no wonder you are spent. Press on, but don't push it, the ideas will come if you just float with the current, above or below.
ReplyDeleteoh these are wonderful ideas!!! can't wait to see what you come up with!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. Otin, you can never again say that you never win anything.
ReplyDeleteLucky bastards.
ReplyDeleteI mean, congratulations!
I love the winning idea! Except, I need to go look up what a dirigible is...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I can't wait to see it.
