So I have decided to re-do some of my old artwork in my new style... some of the ones I was not particularly happy with the first time around.
This is from a couple years ago:
...which is okay...but not quite what I pictured.
This one I finished today. I think I like it better.
...but then, I'm kinda partial to my new girls.
Whadda you think?
(update: I've had a couple people say they missed the flowers, so I added some in.)
Great attitude! Ah, to be a 'tween! Sweet and bittersweet at the same time. (the 'tween thing, not your drawing, that's just plain sweet!)Love the tutu and the hair!
ReplyDeletei like them both....but the boots ont eh first one take the cake!
ReplyDeleteI like them BOTH. It's a very funny drawing either way, but you're right about the second girl having a bit more 'tude!
ReplyDeleteMy next door neighbor's daughter wears a T-Shirt that says "I'm not Goth... I'm Sith!" (you know... from Star Wars...)
I like the girl in the second, but the yellow flower really pops in the first.
ReplyDeleteoh wow!!! wonderful work...It is always fun to revisit some older pieces and make them new again!!! great work!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your new style, so I'm going to have to go with the 2nd. I guess the first one has more 'tude, as Spuds mentioned...but maybe too much 'tude! So I'm sticking with no. 2. My favorite!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have some very lovely work here! I just checked out your etsy shops and love many of your pieces. I like the new Goth girl..she's got that 'tude and she's got your signature style..really nice work. My thanks to you for swinging by - it is so nice to find other people who love art as well. I am adding the follow gadget now, and shall be by to check in! : ) Have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI love them both! I'd say they're both keepers. <3
ReplyDeleteI suppose she is special to a narrow spectrum laying just beyond my own limitations. Cute in a way. Dark in a way (is she supposed to be?).
ReplyDeleteThe other youngsters reach out and grab me and the one that I own is oohed and awed over by all I show it to. It I would choose for any grand daughter awaiting the world on their string.
That is so cool to go back and see how much your style has changed. This is one great goth girl, both old and new. Love the new one's hair, though!
ReplyDeleteSensory haiku...awesome!
I love perky goth chics! Sweet! But seriously, nice work.
ReplyDeleteHow very adams familyesque!
ReplyDeleteI am more drawn to the 2nd girl
