Love Birds

Keeping with the Valentine's theme for the week... (forgive my French if it's not quite right, titles are taken from the postcards themselves.)

c'est avec plaisir (it is with pleasure)

New art

Now in my Etsy shop. Once again, trying something a little different.

I used vintage postcards, vintage floral wallpapers  and cute little birdies to make these prints. Titles are based on words on the postcards.

Keep Calm

I'm sure that many of you have seen the ubiquitous "Keep Calm" posters all over everywhere. (No, no, they are literally EVERYWHERE, I'm not kidding.)
Little bit of history for those of you who care: they were designed by the British government in 1939 to raise morale in the event the British were invaded during WWII. Which they weren't - because, let's face it, who wants to eat British food? Kippers for breakfast? Kidney pie? Black pudding? Spotted Dick?! (Seriously? Um...no, thanks, I'll just chew more gum. And don't go emailing me that all that stuff is tasty... don't care; I'm pretty much a cheeseburger, steak and potato, nice green salad kind of girl.)

Anywho, for the few of you who are oblivious, the posters look something like this:

I have, as of late, seen several parodies including "Keep Calm and Craft On", "Keep Calm and Fake a British Accent" and my favorite - "Keep Calm and Cary Grant".

I have decided to add my own version (I suppose someone will tell me it's already out there, but the important thing is: It's NOT on ETSY!).

So here for your viewing pleasure:

You can buy them here. (Keep calm and go. Now.)
